PROJECTS LATEST UPDATE:
- R&B Contracting completed 143 ADA Ramps in the past 4 Weeks. Currently working on catch basins
-30’ sewer relining has been completed by Jet Jack.
-Paving started April 20 and last approximately 6-8 weeks.
-Pool Demo should start hopefully this month or June.
-Sewers fixed on 9th and Hemlock & 1000 block of Delaware Ave.
- 2 new manholes have been installed on 500 Block of Vermont.

Movie Night!! Glassport Parks and Recreation presents a movie night featuring “Teen Beach”. The movie will be held at the Glassport Ninth Street Field June 6 at 8pm. Please bring your own refreshments.
Annual Fishing Tournament A fishing contest will take place June 13 from 8:00 am- Noon. It will be held at the river front in Glassport. Signups are at the Borough Office.
Kickball Sign-ups. Hosted by Glassport Parks and Recreation. Open to all South Allegheny Girls and Boys Ages 6 to 15. Event: Wednesday May 6th 5-7 pm, Saturday May 9th 10am-12pm. Glassport Crime Watch Meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm at the Glassport Senior Citizens Center, 544 Monongahela Avenue, Glassport. Allegheny County Vacant Property Recovery Program Pricing Update – received letter from Redevelopment Authority – offering assistance for applicants proposing to demolish a blighted structure. There will be side yard to owner, (50% of the appraised value, good faith deposit of $162 and closing costs), demolition of blighted structure with a common boundary, (100% of the appraised value, Parcel fee of $3,000 will be waived, good faith deposit of $162, closing cost of $500), rehabilitation of blighted structure to be rehabbed by the applicant, (100% appraised value, Parcel fee will be discounted to $1,400, Good faith deposit of $162 vacant lot), vacant lot, (100% of the appraised value, parcel fee of $3,000, good faith deposit of $162 and closing costs of approx.. $500). Hall Rentals: Hall Rentals for the Glassport Community Youth Center are 15$ an hour, 75$ for the bottom hall or $150 for the gym with the basketball court. Please contact the borough at 412-672-7400.

The Tax Office is open Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm during the months of May - September for discount real estate collections. Tuesday's and Thursday's 9am - 2pm during the months of October - April. Closed Friday's and Holiday's. Payments can be made by check or money order. No cash payments will be accepted. There is a $35.00 charge for checks returned NSF. An after hour payment slot is located on 5th street side of Borough building. If receipt is required please provide a self addressed stamped envelope.
Building Inspector: To obtain a Building Permit or if you have any building or property concerns, please visit or call the Borough Building Tuesday-Thursday 12 pm- 4pm . Building Permit Applications must be picked up at Borough Building.
