PROJECTS LATEST UPDATE:
-R&B contracting completed 143 ADA ramps
- 30' sewage relining has been completed by Jet Jack
-Paving is complete with the exception of items on the punch list.
-Pool Demo has been put out for bid.
-Sewers fixed on 9th & Hemlock and 1000 & Delaware
-Harrison Hollow will be put up for bid within the week
-Detroit Hollow project is in the works and we are presently working on getting permits from regulatory entities.
- For Demolition Project, public hearing will be held to proceed with demo.

Seniors Meadows Trip: Wednesday August 12. If you are interested please sign up at the Senior Citizens Center.
National Light Up Night: Will be held at the Glassport Honor Roll. Come to support our first responders,food and fun. This will be held August 4, 5:30.
Concert in the Park August 22 7:00 pm- 10:00 pm at the Glassport Honor Roll. First concert will feature “Tres Lads”.
Car Wash for Cancer: Sponsored by Queen of the Rosary Youth Group. Saturday July 25. 9am-noon. In Queen of the Rosary Lot. Cost: Donation that will go to The American Cancer Society.
Clothing Give-Away: Sponsored by Queen of the Rosary Social Hall. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Clean, Gently Used, Clothing, Shoes, Coats, plus some household items, and small toys will be available. Free to those in need.

Allegheny County Vacant Property Recovery Program Pricing Update – received letter from Redevelopment Authority – offering assistance for applicants proposing to demolish a blighted structure. There will be side yard to owner, (50% of the appraised value, good faith deposit of $162 and closing costs), demolition of blighted structure with a common boundary, (100% of the appraised value, Parcel fee of $3,000 will be waived, good faith deposit of $162, closing cost of $500), rehabilitation of blighted structure to be rehabbed by the applicant, (100% appraised value, Parcel fee will be discounted to $1,400, Good faith deposit of $162 vacant lot), vacant lot, (100% of the appraised value, parcel fee of $3,000, good faith deposit of $162 and closing costs of approx.. $500). Hall Rentals: Hall Rentals for the Glassport Community Youth Center are 15$ an hour, 75$ for the bottom hall or $150 for the gym with the basketball court. Please contact the borough at 412-672-7400.

The Tax Office is open Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm during the months of May - September for discount real estate collections. Tuesday's and Thursday's 9am - 2pm during the months of October - April. Closed Friday's and Holiday's. Payments can be made by check or money order. No cash payments will be accepted. There is a $35.00 charge for checks returned NSF. An after hour payment slot is located on 5th street side of Borough building. If receipt is required please provide a self addressed stamped envelope.
Building Inspector: To obtain a Building Permit or if you have any building or property concerns, please visit or call the Borough Building Tuesday-Thursday 12 pm- 4pm . Building Permit Applications must be picked up at Borough Building.
